143 days, final harvest.
Low glycemic variety.
With all the pain staking work that was undertaken, 143 days later the fruits of this harvest is now being undertaken.
It was “Otrai nathu” and it’s now given us a bumper yield.
We used cows urine, Neems leaves, different Punnakku, Chilli, ginger, garlic Karisal, Coconut milk and butter milk spray for finalising the yield.
This is a programme mooted by our village children called “waste for food and energy”.
Two years of plastics, waste paper and bottles were collected and sold.
We procured native seeds and sowed with help of students by Geethanjali school, CS Academy and Vellalar Matriculation school.
From farm to fork it’s fully organic.
Now the paddy will rest for three months. Air and sun dried.
Once it’s ready, we will take orders for the low glycemic rice. We will be selling to Public.
The ultimate goal of farming is not the growing of crops, but the cultivation and perfection of human beings.
